Venue Comments

Originally called Central Hall opening October 4, 1928. It later became known as the Central Theatre by which time it had become solely a picture theatre. The last film screened there was The Dark Command and Queen of Hearts. Greater Union took over the lease and renamed the theatre the Grosvenor.
The Grosvenor closed June 27, 1968 after a two week season of Don't Just Stand There and The Doomsday Flight. (Walters, pp. 183-4)
